We place great importance on each child’s application, and would like to make sure that each child has the opportunity to apply to The Khayay International School. We do not accept incomplete applications, so make sure that you have prepared all the necessary documents and have completed the application process. 


We admit pre-school students on a rolling basis. However, we encourage parents to submit an application as early as possible to begin the admissions process.

For elementary and junior high school students, it is highly encouraged to start the application process by May of each year, so that all necessary preparation can be completed in time for the school year which starts in August. Off-cycle admissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Admission Process

1. Schedule a school visit

Set up a school visit to have a better look and feel for the school, the environment, the culture, to determine if this is the right fit for your child. Submit a request for a school visit here.

2. Submit an Application

Upon deciding that you would like for your child to join Khayay, purchase an application form and submit it to the school. A non-refundable fee of US $20 is due upon the submission of each student’s application form. You may get an application at our school office, or contact us via email to get the application form. 

The application form includes a Health Control Form, which collects important medical information for the child’s health and safety. A record of immunization, as well as proper evidence of a recent physical examination (e.g., a copy of a health certificate, including records on allergies if any) should be attached to complete the Health Control Form. In particular, before entering Khayay, the child must have had, or is in the process of completing, all the following immunizations:

Diphtheria, Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Tetanus (DPT) Triple Vaccine - OPV (Polio) or Injectable Form- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)- BCG for prevention of Tuberculosis - Hepatitis A and B- Typhoid (oral or injectable forms); for oral form, four capsules on alternate days is recommended.

The application form also includes a Medical Assistance Agreement. This is a statement that gives the school the authority to send that child for appropriate medical assistance in the event of an emergency.

Once you have completed the form, please submit it directly to the office.

3. Interview with the School Principal

The school will schedule an interview with the parents and applying child, and the Principal. This is a great chance for us to get to know you better, and for you to get to know our Principal and more about our school's philosophy. Any special arrangements that need to be made for a child can also be discussed at this stage.

4. Settle Registration fees

Before the first day of school, a one-time non-refundable registration fee should be settled in order for the child’s place to be held. 

5. Settle Tuition fees

Tuition fees should be settled once the invoice is provided. For new students joining us during regular school term, this should be by the end of the first month of the semester (i.e., August). For new students joining us off-cycle, this should be within the first week of joining the school.
